Public Works

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for overseeing and providing the citizens of Lynn with a wide variety of daily services. From roadway and sidewalk construction to trash pick-up, park maintenance and snow plowing, the DPW works to efficiently meet the needs of its constituents.

Beginning on July 1st, Capitol Waste will begin service in the City of Lynn.

There will be no changes to the weekly trash and disposal schedule. Please continue to refer to the Department of Public Works Disposal Calendar. 

Trash and recycling barrels will remain the same. All inquiries regarding barrels, such as replacing lost or broken barrels, can be directed to the Department of Public Works: 781-586-8015

The process for curbside bulk waste pick-up will remain the same. Residents must call Capitol Waste to schedule a pick-up. The price has been reduced to $20 per item. Purple overflow bags are still available for purchase.
