MONDAY JAN 26 2026:
Snowfall is expected to continue into the evening Monday, January 26th.
The parking ban remains in effect through Monday, January 26. It will be lifted on Tuesday, January 27 at 6:00AM to allow for additional snow removal and cleanup. Residents are urged to keep vehicles off the streets to ensure snow removal can continue. Cars parked on the street will be subject to ticketing and towing.
City Hall, the Lynn Senior Center, and Lynn Public Library will open at 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 27.
Lynn Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th. All after school programs for Tuesday are cancelled.
Trash and recycling pickup will occur on Tuesday. Service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
Towed cars will be located at 389 Blossom Street (Lynn Ferry Terminal Site).
SUNDAY JAN 25 2025:
A significant snow event is expected on Sunday, January 25th.
A parking ban will go into effect on Sunday, January 25th at 9:00am. Residents need to remove their vehicles from the streets to allow for plowing and salting operations. Cars parked on the street will be subject to ticketing and towing.
School lots will open at 5PM Saturday January 24th for residents to park vehicles off the road.
There will be no trash or recycling pickup on Monday, January 26th. All trash and recycling services will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
Towed cars will be located at 389 Blossom Street (Lynn Ferry Terminal Site).
Please expect notification throughout the weekend regarding weather alerts, parking bans, and closures/delays via the City of Lynn’s communication channels.
The Parking Department is responsible for the collection of fines relative to citations for Parking Tickets, Abandoned Vehicles, 40U, Noise, Litter, Smoking, Fire Department and Animal Control citations. The Department is authorized to initiate appropriate collection actions for violations not paid when due, including non-renewal of driver's license and registration, criminal complaint and tax liens. Other responsibilities include issuance of resident parking permits and management of the City's public parking lots.
