Basic Life (City Life)
The City of Lynn offers a Basic Life Insurance policy ($10K) that is only available to new hire employees during their 30-day enrollment period. There is no medical exam necessary. The basic life insurance coverage is $10,000; 75% of the policy is paid for by the City, 25% paid by the employee.
Employees who elect the Basic Life Insurance (City Life) will be contacted by a Benefits Counselor from Boston Mutual to discuss options for Additional Group Voluntary Life Insurance and Whole life Insurance.
Group Voluntary Term Life (Life B)
Additional group voluntary life insurance is available to supplement your basic life policy, up to $150,000.
Whole Life (Life D)
Whole life insurance is also available which is your own personal permanent life insurance policy with cash value accumulation.
