City of Lynn

A citation is a congratulatory gesture that Mayor Nicholson provides to residents of Lynn who have achieved a specific milestone. Examples include:

• 100th birthdays

• 50th anniversaries or higher

• Retirements from a City job

• An outstanding service or deed performed by a person or a group

All applications for a citation are subject to review and language submitted are subject to editing if accepted. You must submit a request for a citation at least two weeks prior to an event.

A proclamation honors, observes, celebrates, or raise awareness about issues, special events, holidays, and causes.

Proclamations are issued directly by the Mayor and most often recognize monthly observances and awareness days. If you would like to request a proclamation from Mayor Nicholson, please contact Linda.Nor@lynnma.gov. Please note that all applications are subject to review.
