Invitation for Bids
Roof Repair and Maintenance Services
The City of Lynn is soliciting bids for roof repairs and maintenance on an as needed basis at various City/School buildings. Contractors will be on-call to perform various roof leak repairs and maintenance. Contractors are required to adhere by the project specification guidelines.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and vehicles as required to perform inspections, repair and maintenance of roofs at existing municipal and school buildings in accordance with scope of services. All roof inspections, repairs and/or maintenance will be performed by certified staff. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 and to the minimum prevailing wage rates as required by M.G.L.c.149 §§ 26 – 27D.
All General Bids must be accompanied by a copy of a Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) “Certificate of Eligibility” (DCAMM Form CQ-7) and a “Contractor Update Statement” (DCAMM Form CQ-3). The category of work for which the Bidder must certified is: Roofing
Specifications may be obtained starting, Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the City of Lynn Purchasing Department, Room 206, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Specifications are available by email or will be mailed upon request at
[email protected] or by calling 781-586-6893. Specifications are available until the due date specified below. Reference Bid #03-668 when making request.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “Bid# 03-668 Roof Repairs and Maintenance”. All bids must be submitted to the purchasing department at the address above before 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 and will be publicly opened, forthwith. Emailed bids will not be accepted.
Bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the total bid price in the form of certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Lynn
The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and make award as may appear in the best interest of the City. Purchasing Agent will prepare the notice of award and awarding of this contract
